Below are some applications in agriculture: |
|
|
In the case of Potato
8 kgs of calcium peroxide on 10 are land found to increase the
production by 43%.
In the case of Melon
In a green house fertilize the individual plant with 60 grams of calcium
peroxide which results in increasing the fruit bearing number by 30%,
and sweetness enhanced by 7%.
In the case of Strawberry
Fertilize the individual plant with 2 grams of calcium peroxide which
results in increasing the fruit bearing number by 30% and the individual
fruit weight by 30% and sweetness enhanced by 30%.
In the case of Cotton
Fertilize the individual plant with 5 grams of calcium peroxide which
results in increasing the fruit bearing number by 30%, the individual
fruit weight by 30%, and sweetness enhanced by 12%.
In the case of Rice
Coating of 60% CaO2 by 22 per cent of seed weight over Rice seeds
significantly increased crop emergence, plant population, establishment,
vegetative growth, significantly higher number of panicles and
grains/panicle and their dry matter production; reduced the weed growth.
Grain and straw yields were increased.
All this may be owing to enhanced seed respiration and raising the soil
pH and thus increasing nutrient availability and ultimately resulting in
higher yield (about 10%)
Such pre sowing treatment of rice seed allows to do planting by dry
seeds eliminating the use of seedlings which sufficiently reduces crop
time, decreases work expenditure and increases crop capacity. |

COMPATIABILITY: |
|
|
Calcium peroxide may be mixed with other fertilizers to form so called
Oxygen Fertilizers. Such fertilizers include urea, calcium perphosphate,
potassium sulfate and compound fertilizer, etc. In a bioremediation
application in which additional nutrient supplementation is desired, a
wide variety of different formulations of fertilizers may be made
utilizing the principles of this invention. The nominal percentages of
the various macronutrients, micronutrients, and surfactant could be
varied to provide fertilizers having formulations tailored to the
specific environments in which they are used.
