Margosom® NKO


Neem kernel Oil

Margosom® - NKO is derived from Neem Seed Kernels which is used as feedstock for extraction of Neem Kernel Oil. Neem Seed Kernels are cold pressed to get Neem Kernel Cake and Cold Pressed Neem Kernel Oil (NKO).

The Neem Kernel Cake (NKC) is either marketed in the same form or blended with pulp and husk to market as Neem Cake.

Cold pressed Neem kernel oil i used as natural carrier for Azadirachtin extract in making commercial EC formulations. Cold pressed NKO is also used along with natural saponification agents as tree oil in orchards.

Margosom® NKO and its formulations should be applied after using an eye protection equipment / goggles and nose mask as the drift from the spray causes eye irritation.

Margosom® NKO contains all-natural principles available in neem kernel.

Actives present in Margosom® NKO based formulations are surmised to work as an Insect growth regulator and an anti-feedant on adult and nymphs over 300 insect pets. Margosom® NKO based formulations contain all the natural bitter principles including Azadirachtin

Azadirachtin doesn’t act on central nervous system. It acts on the hormonal system Insects produce ecdysone for moulting and to grow to next instar / stage. Azadirachtin interferes with the ecdysone production thereby tricking the insect into not feeding. This anti-feedant activity starves the pest eventually killing it.
