BioCopp contains 500 ppm nano copper. It is produced by nano technology process, encapsulated by a bio polymer and suspended in water. This does not contain hydrogen peroxide.

Copper is a well-known biocide. Antimicrobial activity is due to its tendency to alternate between its cuprous - Cu [Ι], and cupric - Cu [ΙΙ], oxidation states. The nano copper particles produce hydroxyl radicals which bind with the pathogens DNA and denature its proteins eventually killing it. It inactivates cell surface proteins necessary for transport of materials across cell membranes, thus affecting membrane integrity and membrane lipids Copper ions inside fungal and bacterial cells also disrupt biochemical processes.

  • • Useful in organic agriculture as 1 L product contains only 0.5 g of copper

  • • Highly photostable, does not oxidise in sunlight
  • • No Maximum Residue Limit issue
  • • No Post Harvest Interval issues
  • • No Re-Entry barrier issues
  • • Compatible with all chemical pesticides, fertilizers, micronutrients, PGRs, botanicals (NOT with Microbials)
  • • Works in high and low temperature
  • • Works in high and low humidity
  • • Non-Phytotoxic
  • • Easy to use product that leaves no residues
  • • Prevents recontamination or re-occurrence of pathogens
  • • Environmentally safe and biodegradable

  • Types of formulation

BioCopp is available as liquid formulation.

  • Dose and Application

Soluble liquid formulation: Suitable for spraying, applying through drip irrigation (micro irrigation) and drenching.

      Dose:
    • • 500 ppm: 5 ml / L water
    • • Typical acre dose: 1-2 L
    • • Typical Hectare dose :2.5-5 L

BioCopp for downy mildew: Treat the foliage @ 5 ml / l water and water quantity may vary from 200-400 L / acre based on crop canopy. Organic farming permits restricted quantity of coper and sulphur. Copper oxy chloride which is a popular fungicide for downy mildew has 50 % metallic copper and at 2 Kg / Ha application, each application will result in 1 Kg of metallic copper going into soil as a residue.
BioCopp @ 2.5-5 L/ Ha has only a few grams of metallic copper and therefore is a safe product to use even in organic farming systems.

BioCopp and its use in pruning: Pruned debris of plants contain pathogens. Therefore, BioCopp is recommended for disinfection of the plant parts before pruning or after pruning. Use BioCopp (500 ppm) @ 5 ml / L water for foliar application before pruning or 5 ml / L water after pruning on the pruned debris.

    Note:

    • Do not store BioCopp solution for more than 24 hours after mixing in water.
    • BioCopp being a non-selective disinfectant completely eradicates all microbes and hence recolonization with good soil probiotic bacteria is a must.

  • Application method Notes

    Note:

    • Do not store BioCopp solution for more than 24 hours after mixing in water.
    • BioCopp being a non-selective disinfectant completely eradicates all microbes and hence recolonization with good soil probiotic bacteria is a must.

  • Compatibility

Compatible with all agricultural chemicals. BioCopp should not be used along with microbial biopesticides and biofertilizers as it is a biocide and will kill/inactivate the active beneficial microbes.

  • FAQ's

Can I use BioCopp in organic agriculture?
Organic agriculture undr NPOP / Nop approve use of certain quantum of copper-based products to address critical diseases like downy mildew while chemical copper-based fungicide like copper oxy chloride contains 500 g of metallic copper per kg, BioCopp contains only 0,5 g of metallic copper per L. Thus, even if 3 L / Ha of Biocopp is used and 8 applications are made per Ha, it will only be releasing 12 g of copper only. Thus, BioCopp can be effectively used in organic agriculture also within permissible limits

Can I spray BioCopp during day time or a hot day?
    Yes. You can spray anytime.

Can I mix BioCopp copper with agricultural chemicals?
Yes. You can mix with commonly used agricultural chemicals.

Does this product come under CIB / Insecticides Act/ Pesticides regulatory?
BioCopp is not in Schedule of Insecticides Act. We term BioCopp as Disinfectant. BioCopp does not come under Pesticides regulatory.

How is BioCopp unique when compared with products in market?
Yes, BioCopp is quite unique in comparison to other Copper based products in the market. Other conventional market products contain very high quantum of metallic copper while BioCoppy has only 0.5 g / L of metallic coper.
We do Nano Copper by Nano Tech process and encapsulate with Chitosan based biopolymer and suspend in water. Thus - BioCopp is very unique product.

If BioCopp is consumed by humans accidentally, what would happen and what is the first aid to be given?
BioCopp has 500 ppm of Copper Water is carrier. Therefore, it is not toxic. Chitosan may cause vomiting - and no other health hazard if consumed accidentally. Consuly doctr for symptomatic treatment. No specific antidotes are available.

How long will the nano copper particles which kill the pathogens stay in the applied area?
BioCopp is a Universal Disinfectant. 500 ppm spray on 4000 Square meters of land and may be 10,000 square metres of foliage. This means 0.05 ppm Cu can be found in plant residues

Is there any certification available to claim it is a natural product?
Copper is a mining origin natural product. No certifications are available. However internal assay is done to determine the content which is available as a Certificate of analysis.
